Extruder EGK-200 PTO

EGK-200 for PTO is a solid and practical feed extruder for processing soybean and grain seeds, which, instead of classic electric power, uses tractor drive via the power take-off (PTO) shaft. This is an ideal solution for farms that want to be independent of access to electric energy or are looking for mobile feed solutions.

The device enables the processing of raw soybeans into highly digestible feed—eliminating antinutritional factors and increasing the nutritional value of the grain. It operates on the basis of hot extrusion technology, combining heating, grinding, and shaping in a single operation. It works well as an extruder for producing feed mixes for cattle, pigs, goats, and fish.

The working part of the feed extruder consists of two chambers – in the loading chamber the raw material is crushed, while in the pressing chamber the raw material is subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of 120–180°C under high pressure. Then, passing through the extruder holes, the material "explodes," experiencing a hydrodynamic shock due to a sudden drop in pressure. As a result, the grain foams and increases its volume several times. This means that animals need less feed in the form of aerated sticks than in regular or pelleted form to feel full.

The feed extruder, thanks to the action of high temperatures, disinfects the feed, eliminating pathogenic microflora, fungi, and harmful bacteria, to which young animals are particularly sensitive.

Additionally, under the influence of pressure and high temperatures, hard-to-digest starches are broken down into lighter, simple carbohydrates and sugars. Vitamins and all nutrients are preserved because the exposure to high temperature lasts a fraction of a second. Thanks to this, animals do not lose energy on digesting food but redirect it to body weight gain and increased milk yield.

The EKG-200 is equipped with two nozzles: to obtain sticks in the form of tubes and to produce flakes with a diameter of up to 4 cm. Thanks to these nozzles, it is possible to produce extruded feed for various species of farm animals and poultry.
