The TMC single-phase inverter of the D11 series is an innovative device that enables precise control of three-phase asynchronous AC motors using the available single-phase power supply network. Equipped with advanced vector control technology, this inverter provides effective control of motors up to 1.5 kW, making it a versatile tool in industry.
The D11 series stands out with its elegant housing with an operator panel, which facilitates device operation and allows monitoring of key motor operating parameters, such as current rotational speed. This panel frequency converter excels in applications where precise control is crucial, such as electric spindles up to 2.2 kW, pumps, fans, spindle control for machine tools, as well as miniature lathes, bench drills, or milling machines.
D11 inverters exhibit excellent performance both when using the operator panel, allowing convenient control, and with more advanced systems utilizing the MODBUS RTU communication protocol.
It is worth noting that the specifics of inverters powered by single-phase are particularly important. Thanks to the D11 frequency inverter, it is possible to power three-phase motors from a single-phase 1x230V network. In the case of motors that are by default connected in a “star” (Y) configuration, it may be necessary to switch them to a “delta” (Δ) configuration by making appropriate changes in the wiring connections. Induction motors up to 4 kW usually come with the option to switch between “star 3x400” and “delta 3x230.” A single-phase inverter is safe to use with motors that are factory-connected in a “delta” configuration, while motors factory-connected in a “star” configuration typically require the use of a three-phase inverter, according to the 3x400V marking on their rating plate. On the other hand, motors factory-connected in the “delta” configuration have a marking of 3x230 on the rating plate, which indicates compatibility with a single-phase inverter.
