Grain Extruder EGK-150

EGK-150 is an industrial feed extruder that enables thermo-mechanical processing of various plant raw materials—including corn, grains, and feed mixtures. The device makes it possible to obtain easily digestible and homogeneous granulate, which improves the assimilation of nutrients.

This model of extruder is ideal for use both in agricultural farms and professional processing plants. Thanks to the ability to adjust extrusion parameters, the user can easily adapt the settings to the type of raw material and the required final result. 

The working section of the feed extruder consists of two chambers—the loading chamber, where the raw material is ground, and the pressing chamber, where the material undergoes thermal processing at a temperature of 120–180°C under high pressure. Next, as it passes through the extruder holes, the raw material "explodes," undergoing a hydroshock effect due to the sudden pressure drop. As a result, the grain foams and increases its volume several times. This means that animals require less feed in the form of aerated sticks than in regular or pelleted form to feel full.

The feed extruder, thanks to high temperatures, disinfects the feed, eliminating pathogenic microflora, fungi, and harmful bacteria to which young animals are particularly sensitive.

Moreover, under the influence of pressure and high temperature, hard-to-digest starch breaks down into lighter, simple carbohydrates and sugars. Vitamins and all nutrients remain preserved because the exposure to high temperature lasts only a fraction of a second. As a result, animals don't waste energy on digestion but direct it toward body weight gain and increased milk yield.

The EKG-150 is equipped with two nozzles: one for producing sticks in the form of tubes and another for making flakes up to 4 cm in diameter. Thanks to these nozzles, you can produce extruded feed for different species of livestock and poultry.
