Full wood processing cycle for pellet production

Currently, many specialists are dealing with the issue of ecology. The Polish market has also started introducing devices for the production of solid ecological fuel, which is safer than other types of fuel. In addition, it was decided to process wood waste. Companies involved in the wood industry can now generate additional income by introducing equipment for the production of wood pellets.

The wood processing cycle is divided into the following stages:

• shredding branches into chips;

• recycling, crushing chips;

• drying raw materials to improve combustion quality and heat dissipation;

• processing raw materials into pellets;

• transport and packaging.

Shredding branches into chips

Let's imagine that after the wood processing process, tree branches, bark, strips, wood chips, etc. remain. In order to obtain high quality chips, they should be ground. The ZUBR wood shredder / chipper can quickly grind wood waste into high quality chips from 5 to 50 mm in size. The machine is supplied in two versions: with an electric motor and powered by the tractor's PTO. Thanks to this, you can choose the most suitable device for your conditions and process the branches at the place of their storage.

Crushing wood chips

After obtaining wood chips from branches, they must be processed into the appropriate fraction to obtain high-quality pellets. According to this technological stage, the next step will be further processing of wood chips into a smaller fraction. The MB-500 Beater Mill not only processes wood chips, but also copes perfectly with grain, husks, and shavings. The fraction can be adjusted, and we have also provided the possibility of quick replacement of sieves and hammers. To eliminate excess dust, the Cyclone extraction system can be connected to the hammer crusher. Dust from chips can be used in secondary production. The capacity of the equipment is about 600 kg/h when grinding chips and about 8 t/h when grinding grain.

Drying of raw materials

As practice shows, the primary raw materials have a high level of humidity, about 50-60%. To obtain high-quality pellets with a high rate of combustion and heat dissipation, the humidity level should not exceed 8-12%. The degree of humidity can be checked using a moisture meter, and the aerodynamic dryer SA-600 will help to obtain the right level of humidity.

The device consists of a pipe through which a hot air stream with a temperature of 120-150 ° C flows. Moisture, located on the surface, evaporates, and that from the center moves to the surface. The dryer is powered by a solid fuel boiler and is characterized by a compact design.

Processing raw materials into pellets

After drying the raw materials, it is necessary to produce fuel pellets. If you have decided to produce pellets for sale or export, then one pellet mill may not be enough, because there are many requirements and standards for pellet quality.

For the full pelleting process, our company offers to purchase a mini pellet production line, which is compact, energy-efficient, easy to operate and maintain. The line consists of the following units: a raw material feeder, which ensures uniform feeding of sawdust to the pellet mill; a raw material humidification system, which doses the necessary amount of moisture for better pelleting; a pellet mill with a capacity of up to 450 kg / h; a calibrator-cooler, which sorts the pellets by size and cools them to maintain their integrity; an exhaust system.

Transport and packaging of pellets

The last stage in the entire wood processing cycle is a belt conveyor, which will allow you to transport and pack finished products into big bags. Our company offers the PT-500 conveyor, which is characterized by high power and efficiency.
