Air grain separator SZ-2

Air grain separator SZ-2 is designed for the effective separation of light impurities from cereal grain and legumes. The device removes, among other things, dust, chaff, husks, and other light fractions, thereby improving the quality of the raw material before its further processing, drying, or storage.

Preliminary cleaning is of particular importance when preparing grain for storage. Removing light impurities limits their accumulation in specific zones during pneumatic transport and storage. This makes it possible to reduce dustiness and limit the risk of deterioration of storage conditions, including the occurrence of local self-heating and product spoilage.

Application of the SZ-2 separator

SZ-2 can be used at various stages of grain preparation. It works well as an element of an installation preceding the drying, storage, or further processing of the raw material, helping to prepare the material for subsequent technological operations.

The device can also be used before the seed dressing process. Reducing the amount of dust and light particles in the material makes it possible to reduce the loss of preparations and improve the effectiveness of the treatment carried out.

Construction and integration with the installation

The SZ-2 separator has been designed for easy integration into an existing technological line. The device can work with screw conveyors, flexible conveyors, and bucket elevators, which allows it to be used in various grain transport systems.

An energy-efficient drive with a power of 7.5 kW ensures the operation of the device while maintaining low energy demand. The mobile design makes it possible to change the separator's place of operation depending on the current needs of the farm or plant.

Standard equipment

The standard equipment of the separator includes elements enabling the correct connection and arrangement of the cleaning system:

• cyclone
• 2 m connecting pipe for separating the cleaning cyclone and the dedusting cyclone
• set of supports for positioning the dedusting cyclone

Operation of the separator

During the flow of grain through the separation system, light fractions such as dust, chaff, and husks are separated from the proper material. The cleaned grain can then be directed to the next stage of the technological process, while the separated light impurities are discharged to the dedusting system.

This solution makes it possible to reduce the amount of light admixtures remaining in the grain mass and improve the preparation of the raw material for further transport, drying, seed dressing, or storage.
