Description

EGK-350 on PTO is a high-performance grain extruder designed for intensive thermo-mechanical processing of grains and cereals using hot extrusion. The drive from a tractor via the power take-off shaft (PTO) ensures complete independence from the electrical installation and allows operation directly on the farm or in field conditions. This solution is dedicated to users who expect high throughput and stable feed quality.

The device enables effective processing of wheat, corn, barley, rye, and cereal mixtures, significantly improving their nutritional value. The extrusion process involves a short-term, intense exposure to high temperature and pressure, during which the structure of the grain undergoes permanent modification. After passing through the die, the raw material takes the form of an easily digestible product with increased energy availability.

In the EGK-350 extruder, the raw material is simultaneously ground, heated, and pressed in one continuous operation. The sudden drop in pressure at the nozzle outlet causes an expansion effect—the grain "opens up," increasing its volume and porosity. As a result, the feed is better assimilated by animals, leading to lower feed consumption while maintaining high feeding efficiency.

The high process temperature effectively neutralizes bacteria, molds, and other undesirable microorganisms, improving the sanitary safety of the feed. At the same time, the very short processing time means that valuable nutrients, including vitamins, are largely retained.

Under the influence of pressure and temperature, starch and complex carbohydrates are broken down into simpler compounds, which are more easily accessible for animals' digestive systems.
