Grain Cleaning Machine MCM-5 is a reliable and efficient device that effectively removes unwanted impurities from grain, preparing it for storage or sale. The separator’s simple, functional design relies on an airflow stream. Grain fed into the hopper is evenly distributed and enters the separation chamber. There, a strong air flow separates heavy impurities and stones, directing them into a separate fraction. The cleaned grain moves on, while light impurities, damaged and broken kernels, and dust are blown out.

Operating principle of the MCM-5 grain cleaning separator

• Grain feeding: The feed material (grain) is poured into the feed hopper.
• Even distribution: The grain spreads by gravity across the full width of the feeder, forming an even stream.
• Pre-separation (heavy impurities): The grain stream enters the separation chamber, where a strong airflow separates heavy impurities (e.g., stones), directing them to the first fraction.
• Main cleaning: The partially cleaned grain falls onto the next tray.
• Separation of light impurities and damaged kernels: The airflow lifts lighter impurities and damaged or broken kernels, transferring them to the last tray.
• Removal of dust and fines: The lightest impurities and dust are expelled through the separator’s air outlet along with the airflow.
• Collection of cleaned grain: The cleaned grain is collected from the appropriate outlet of the separator.
• Fraction adjustment: The operator can individually set the airflow intensity, allowing the separation process to be adapted to different grain types and contamination levels.
