Grain Extruder EGK-200

EGK-200 is a technologically advanced feed extruder designed for the thermo-mechanical processing of various plant raw materials, such as corn, grains, and feed mixtures. The extrusion process significantly improves the digestibility and bioavailability of the products, allowing for the creation of high-quality feed granules.

Thanks to increased power and efficiency, the device is suitable for use both on large farms and in industrial plants. The ability to adjust operating parameters means the EGK-200 model provides great flexibility in adapting the process to the characteristics of the raw material.

The EKG-200 is equipped with two nozzles: one for producing sticks in the form of tubes, and another for flakes up to 4 cm in diameter. Thanks to these nozzles, extruded feed can be produced for various types of farm animals and poultry.

The working part of the feed extruder consists of two chambers – in the loading chamber, the raw material is ground, and in the pressing chamber, the material is thermally treated at a temperature of 120–180 °C under high pressure. Then, as it passes through the extruder’s openings, the material "explodes," experiencing a hydroshock due to the sudden drop in pressure. As a result, the grain foams and multiplies its volume several times. This means that animals require less feed in the form of aerated sticks than in standard or pelleted form to feel full.

Thanks to the action of high temperatures, the feed extruder disinfects the feed, eliminating pathogenic microflora, fungi, and pathogenic bacteria to which young animals are especially sensitive.

Additionally, under the influence of pressure and high temperature, difficult-to-digest starch is broken down into lighter, simple carbohydrates and sugars. Vitamins and all nutrients are preserved because the exposure to heat lasts a split second. This way, animals do not use up energy on digesting food, but direct it toward body mass gain and increased milk production.
