Grain Extruder EGK-500

EGK-500 is an industrial feed extruder designed for large processing plants and high-output farms. The device ensures efficient processing of raw materials such as soybeans, corn, grains, and other feed materials rich in protein and starch.

Thanks to its high power and robust construction, the EGK-500 extruder guarantees high efficiency while maintaining stability of operation and low running costs. It performs excellently in the production process of granulated feeds with high nutritional value.

The working section of the feed extruder consists of two chambers – in the loading chamber, the raw material is crushed, and in the pressing chamber, the material is subjected to thermal treatment at a temperature of 120–180°C under high pressure. Then, as the material passes through the extruder orifices, it "explodes," experiencing a hydro-shock effect resulting from a sudden drop in pressure. As a result, the grain foams up and increases its volume several times. This means that animals need less feed in the form of aerated sticks than in ordinary or pelleted form to feel full.

Thanks to the action of high temperature, the feed extruder disinfects the feed, eliminating pathogenic microflora, fungi, and harmful bacteria, which young animals are particularly sensitive to.

In addition, under the influence of pressure and high temperature, hard-to-digest starches break down into lighter, simple carbohydrates and sugars. Vitamins and all nutrients are preserved, as the temperature acts for only a split second. Thanks to this, animals do not lose energy on digesting food but direct it to weight gain and increased milk production.
