Description

The GTSA Moving Floor Bin is a modern solution designed for storing, mixing, and controlled feeding of biomass and other bulk materials. The bin enables safe storage of raw materials with elevated moisture content while ensuring their consistent discharge to subsequent stages of the technological process.

Thanks to the moving scraper system, the material remains in continuous motion, effectively preventing bridging, compaction, material buildup, and quality deterioration during storage.

Functions of the GTSA Moving Floor Bin

The bin can simultaneously perform several key technological functions:

  • storage of materials with relative moisture content up to 70%;
  • mixing and aerating the material to prevent compaction and bridging;
  • uniform dosing of raw materials for further conveying or packaging;
  • stabilization of material feeding into production lines.

Materials Suitable for Storage

GTSA bins are designed for storing and controlled feeding of various bulk and small-piece materials.

  • biomass: wood chips, sawdust, wood shavings, straw, sunflower husks, shredded corn stalks and cobs;
  • pellets and other solid biofuels;
  • coal;
  • brewery and distillery by-products;
  • granulates produced from industrial and agricultural waste;
  • other bulk materials used in technological processes.

Operating Parameters and Discharge Capacity

The discharge capacity depends on the type of material, its physical properties, moisture content, and the filling level of the bin.

  • maximum material particle size: 60 × 60 × 100 mm;
  • maximum material moisture content: up to 50%;
  • capacity adjustment by changing the interval between scraper operating cycles;
  • adjustable interval range: from 0 to 120 seconds.

The amount of discharged material may vary even with identical settings depending on the properties of the material and the filling level of the bin.

Mechanization and Automation

GTSA Moving Floor Bins are available in both mechanized and fully automated versions. The degree of automation is individually selected according to the technological process requirements and customer expectations.

The system may be equipped with solutions enabling:

  • automatic monitoring of the material level inside the bin;
  • automatic control of discharge capacity;
  • monitoring of scraper position;
  • integration with production line control systems.

Available Configurations

Standard GTSA bins are available with capacities ranging from 0.1 to 30 t/h and usable volumes up to 200 m³. Thanks to their modular design, the number of sections, dimensions, and operating parameters can be tailored to the individual requirements of each facility.

Custom-designed solutions manufactured according to customer technical specifications are also available.

Modern Solution for Biomass Storage

GTSA Moving Floor Bins provide safe storage and precise dosing of materials used in modern industrial processes. Thanks to their automation capabilities, modular construction, and wide range of applications, they are a reliable component of technological lines for biomass, pellets, the feed industry, and the energy sector.

What Does the GTSA Moving Floor Bin Consist Of?

The GTSA Moving Floor Bin is a modular unit designed for storing, conveying, and controlled dosing of bulk materials. It consists of a storage bin with hydraulically driven moving slats installed at the bottom.

The slats perform a reciprocating movement, preventing material bridging and accumulation while simultaneously conveying the material toward the discharge area. This solution ensures consistent dosing of raw materials and reliable transfer to subsequent stages of the production process.

The bin can be loaded by:

  • manually or using a loader;
  • via a conveyor;
  • using a pneumatic conveying system;
  • directly from another machine within the production line.

Material discharged from the bin can be transferred to a drag conveyor, belt conveyor, screw conveyor, or another conveying system selected according to the properties of the processed material.

Applications of the Moving Floor Bin

The GTSA bin is suitable for storing and dosing biomass, wood chips, sawdust, plant materials, and other bulk raw materials.

Its modular design makes it possible to adapt the capacity, dimensions, and discharge method to the available installation space and production line requirements. For demanding operating conditions, reinforced versions of the structure are also available.
