A roller/roll press for briquetting coal dust is a high-speed, automatic, continuous vertical machine used to process coal dust by pressing it into briquettes, which increases the calorific value, facilitates transport, and results in zero production waste.

A conical metal feed hopper is used for loading raw material, from where the material enters the working chamber.

Two rollers driven by an electric motor are installed in the working chamber. Their rotation is synchronized with each other, and torque is transmitted by a belt drive. Each roll is fitted with a die consisting of multiple recessed mould cavities for forming the powder. As they rotate, the die of one roll mates with the matching die on the other roll, compressing the material under high pressure and producing a pillow-shaped briquette. At the outlet there is a movable belt conveyor that receives the briquettes discharged from the working chamber and conveys them to a waiting container. The equipment is controlled via a control panel.

Additionally, the roller press for producing briquettes from coal dust can be equipped with a belt conveyor for feeding raw material to the hopper.
