LDO-200 line is a fully automated, modern industrial machine designed for multi-stage processing of walnuts—from shell cracking and separation of partitions and dust to precise sorting of kernels by fraction.

The LDO-200 uses a conical cracking principle that yields up to 80% whole kernels, the so‑called “butterflies.” This significantly increases the value of the final product.

The entire process is controlled from a single operator panel operated by one person. The production cycle using the LDO-200 reaches an automation level of 98%.

Key components of the walnut processing line

• Conical nut cracker – gently splits the shell around its circumference, protecting the kernels from damage.
• Drum-type crusher – re-cracks nuts that were not fully split in the first stage.
• Aspiration system – separates shells, partitions, and dust, ensuring high purity of the recovered kernels.
• Vibratory sieve with aspiration – sorts kernels into fractions: halves (1/2), quarters (1/4), eighths (1/8), and fines; each fraction undergoes final cleaning in a separate aspiration column.
• Conveyors – automatically move the material between stages, eliminating the need for manual handling.

Operating principle

1. Cracking: the conical cracker gently splits the nut shells.
2. Aspiration: effective separation of partitions, shells, and dust from the kernels.
3. Conveying: the cleaned kernels are automatically moved to the subsequent stages.
4. Re-cracking: the drum crusher breaks nuts that did not crack.
5. Sorting: the vibratory sieve separates kernels into fractions (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) and subjects them to final cleaning.
