The RDS-30 straw shredder is designed for shredding straw, hay, herbs for pets, and dry leaves. Due to the small power of the electric motor and ease of connection to a three-phase electrical network, the shredder is suitable for both private use and small farms.

The standard fraction of the shredded material is approximately 5 mm. A characteristic feature of the RDS-30 straw shredder is the possibility of choosing a mesh with different holes (from 5-20 mm), which allows obtaining a fraction of ground straw and hay suitable for needs.The crushed material can be used as an additive to feeds and also for the production of feed, pellets, or briquettes. The moisture content of the material should not exceed 20%, as high moisture can accumulate in the crushing zone, leading to partial motor overload or total stoppage.

The efficiency of the shredder is around 30-50 kg per hour. The shredded hay and straw are suitable for granulation. For granulating hay, straw, and dried fodder, one of the feed granulators is suitable: one of the feed granulators: KGM-100, GMK-150, GMK-200, GMK-260.

RDS-30 is not suitable for processing hemp!!

Procedure for operating the RDS-30 straw shredder:

• If the shredder is used stationary, it should be mounted on a hard, level surface, and adequate ventilation must be provided.
• The shredder must be connected to a power supply of 220/380 V, depending on the possibilities and choice.
• Start the engine at idle and check the direction of the rotor's rotation. It should be in accordance with the arrow sign on the protective housing - if the direction is opposite, the electrical connections of the cables should be changed.
• Place a bag or other container for the finished material.
• Feed in straw/hay through the top opening. Push the material, for example with a wooden beam. Never put your hands into the opening!
• The knife rotation speed is 3000 rpm and ensures effective shredding of the material to the specified fraction.
• After use, the shredder should be thoroughly cleaned of hay and straw residue.
