Automatic packaging and palletizing line

Automatic packaging and palletizing line is a complete solution designed to automate the process of weighing, packaging and palletizing bulk materials. The line combines the AF-8B automatic weighing and packaging machine with the LUW-8 line for arranging bags on pallets, creating an integrated system for preparing finished pallet units.

The solution is intended, among other things, for packaging pellets, fertilizers, salt, sand, gravel, biomass and other bulk materials. The use of automatic dosing and palletizing makes it possible to reduce the number of activities performed manually and increase the repeatability of the entire process.

How does the automatic line work?

Bulk material from the hopper is transported to the weighing feeder. After reaching the set weight, the weighed portion goes into the prepared package. The packaging machine forms the bag, fills it with product, performs sealing and cuts off the finished package.

The filled bags are then transferred to the palletizing system. Each bag is properly oriented, and the subsequent packages form a row according to the programmed pattern. The formed row is transferred onto the pallet by means of a moving platform and arranged layer by layer.

Automatic weighing and packaging machine AF-8B

AF-8B is responsible for precise weighing of the product and automatic forming and closing of packages. The system enables dosing of portions in the range of 2000-25000 g, thanks to which the device can be used for various weight formats.

The weighing feeder controlled by the Libra controller enables operation of various dosing settings, while the packaging machine uses the Mikra controller to control the package forming process. Impulse sealing allows repeatable closing of bags made of film material.

The machine is also equipped with a fault monitoring system, which supports control of the correct course of the packaging process and facilitates operation of the device.

The system is adapted to work with packaging material with a thickness of 20-130 µm. The film can be guided by a photo mark or according to the set length, which makes it possible to adjust the method of package forming to production requirements.

Depending on the configuration, the package can be formed as a classic “pillow” or as a stand-up pouch. Additional solutions are also available, such as a handle forming module and a thermal transfer printer.

Line for arranging bags on pallets LUW-8

LUW-8 is responsible for automatic arranging of finished bags on pallets. The system takes over the filled packages from the final section of the packaging part, positions them according to the required layout and forms a complete row.

After the row is prepared, the moving platform together with the compacting and shifting mechanism transfers it directly onto the pallet. The mechanism properly forms and compacts the row of bags, and then places it in the designated position. Subsequent rows are arranged layer by layer, creating a stable and repeatable layout ready for transport or storage.

The palletizer handles pallets with dimensions 1200 × 800 mm and 1200 × 1000 mm.

Work organization

The use of an integrated system makes it possible to reduce the scope of activities performed by the operator. Operation of the line mainly includes ensuring an adequate amount of product in the hopper, delivering an empty pallet to the palletizing station and collecting the finished pallet with arranged bags.
